The Subway Bhaktis are ISHTA yoga teacher Rachel Zinman and her husband Nyck Jeanes. Sita Ram is their first album of devotional songs and mantra chants.

Rachel and Nyck lead Kirtans in Australia, the USA, Germany, Switzerland and Japan. Kirtan is the traditional form of devotional singing practiced in India and in ashrams and yoga studios around the world. This album is a magnificently produced compilation of chants and songs, featuring wonderful musicianship and beautiful harmonies and rhythms. In 2006 it received three Dolphin Awards for best female vocal, best devotional and best production and has also been nominated in the world music category for the Music Oz awards.

The chants on Sita Ram are in Sanskrit, the ancient language of India, and the sound of the words resonate deeply – vibrating the energy within, bringing healing and lightness, and a depth of relaxation and meditation.
